Happy with life overall

A British Survey of employed people (July 2010) found :

Ø  People earning  50,000  Pounds annually were “ happy “ with life overall

Ø  People earning  70,000  Pounds annually were “ less than happy “ with their lot !

Will someone survey and answer :

 How happy is a person who has been unemployed / jobless for over 2 years and who suddenly gets a job–offer of  7,000 Pounds ?

With 70,000 pounds, can we make 10 jobseekers ecstatic ?

With 70,000 pounds, by how much can we raise the “ Sum-Total “ of happiness in the world ?

Ask unemployed.
