elections “

This Act
would be a huge success if applied retrospectively
But, you
guessed it right !
For the
first time, Congress and BJP would come together ( in a un-holy alliance ? ),
to defeat the “ retrospective “ application
Out of a
total of 162 current members of parliament who have criminal cases pending
against them, 44 belong to Congress !
And another
44 belong to BJP !
Of course,
they can always add a rider that the “ retrospective “ provision does not apply
to Congress / BJP members !
