Ø  Order-booking will start Mid August, for deliveries to start by September

Ø  Price not shown on website of Eureka Forbes but , in an interview with Vishnu Som ( NDTV ), Dr Vijay Kumar said : To begin with , it could be around Rs 15,000 or so but it will come down substantially ,once many companies start production . We want to make this device affordable by ordinary citizen

Is there any move on part of Health Ministry to promote this device, just like Corona Vaccine ?

Ø  None that I am aware of

Ø  But , I am sure that , when he gets this E Mail ,

Dr HarshVardhanji { Health Minister / dr.harshvardhan@sansad.nic.in  } , 

will lose no time to get this device evaluated for its efficacy – and, if found good, will persuade all government buildings ( starting with the Lok Sabha / Rajya Sabha Chambers / Cabins of Ministers etc )  to install it

Who else should look into the effectiveness of this device ?

Ø  To begin with , ICMR . It is their job to issue the COVID-related guidelines to States / Public

Ø  Apart from ICMR , I strongly suggest that one of the following 3 COMMITTEES , look into this:

#   Cabinet nod to setting up of 12-member technology group 

   

#   Prime Minister’s Science Technology Innovation Advisory Council  

#   New, Emerging and Strategic Technology

Can this device replace need for ( preventive ) Vaccine / ( curative ) Drugs / PPE / Masks etc ?

Ø  No . It is NOT a substitute for any of these .

Ø  At best , it might lessen the need for 2 Meter “ Social Distancing Norm “ in closed halls , where such devices have been installed
