“ Distributist “ Economy ?

 

 

Meaning :

 

Ø  Neither Capitalist , nor Socialist , nor Communist economy , but

Ø  An economy where people working from far flung places contribute to creation of goods / services

Of course, such a “ Distributist Economy “ , would need a different set of rules / laws to govern it

Context :

Labour Ministry issues draft standing orders for manufacturing , mining, services sectors

Extract :

“ Subject to conditions of appointment, or agreement between Employer and workers, employer may allow a worker to work from home for such period or periods as may be determined by employer “, one of order mentioned

A welcome provision, although it may make it somewhat difficult to establish the following categories of “ misconduct “, without installation of sophisticated surveillance devices / software, at worker’s home :

Ø  Sleeping while on duty

Ø  Habitual late attendance

Ø  Habitual absence without leave or without sufficient cause

Ø  Leaving work without permission or sufficient reason

I am also puzzled by the following:

The Draft Model Standing Orders for manufacturing and mining sector EXCLUDE , “ unauthorized access of IT System “ from definition of misconduct !

I am sure this will be corrected since, in all sectors some “ workers ( clerical ? ) “, would be working from their homes, using their home computers connected to Company Servers, through VPN ( may be 24x7 )

Anyway, the Govt is moving ( though slowly ) in the direction of my following blog / e-mail :

A NEW ECONOMIC ORDER ? aka " Start Up Act - 2015 "…………..[ 12 Sept 2015 ]

Extract :

 

Ø  Today, Internet and mobile apps are pushing the World towards an E - Commerce economy , which covers entire World seamlessly

 

Ø  Tomorrow, Internet of Things ( IoT ), will tell us what we need to do and when ! Our lives will be dictated by devices !

 

 

Ø  That will demand a brand NEW SYSTEM of economic development which transcends national boundaries

 

Ø  Old rules / regulations / laws will not help us find jobs for 12 million youths entering India's work force each year

 

 

Ø  Using the hologram of the " Start Up Act - 2015 " , we must project our economy into :

 

      "  Distributist Economy ",

 

      which goes beyond the " Communist / Socialist / Capitalist " economies !

 

     That is the ONLY WAY to create a ,

 

     "  New  Economic  Order  / The Start Up Economic Order "
