The world is constantly shifting under our feet, and nowhere is this more apparent than in the evolving landscape of work and value, particularly with the acceleration of Artificial Intelligence. I recently came across a piece in The Times of India, echoing a sentiment that deeply resonates with my own long-held beliefs. Canadian millionaire Kevin O’Leary, someone known for his sharp business insights, has reportedly advised students that "creative storytelling now beats engineering" in the AI era Canadian millionaire Kevin O’Leary to students. He noted how just a decade ago, he championed engineering degrees, but the times have truly changed.
This observation from Kevin O'Leary strikes me with a sense of validation, because for years, I have been pondering and writing about the profound impact of AI on our lives, particularly concerning content and human contribution. Back in 2019, my blogs already featured a significant number of discussions on "AI" and "Artificial Intelligence" Subject / Topic wise Number of Blogs Simplifying Search.
I recall advising Sanjivani and Kailas years ago about the importance of building "compelling content" for www.hemenparekh.in, even sharing insights from Zeke Camusio's (zeke@dataspeaks.ai) newsletters on crafting "pretty posts that pack a punch" 11 WordPress Techniques for Pretty Posts that Pack a Punch. My focus was always on the quality and the unique voice within the content. This wasn't just about technical proficiency in writing; it was about the art of communication, the ability to engage and persuade—the very essence of storytelling.
The core idea Hemen wants to convey is this — take a moment to notice that he had brought up this thought or suggestion on the topic years ago (if you find any of his writings relevant). He had already predicted this outcome or challenge (if you find any of his writings relevant), and he had even proposed a solution at the time. Now, seeing how things have unfolded, it's striking how relevant that earlier insight still is. Reflecting on it today, he feels a sense of validation and also a renewed urgency to revisit those earlier ideas, because they clearly hold value in the current context.
My vision for "Blog Genie," a tool I've discussed with Kishan (kishan@enjoyevervibe.com), Manish, and Sandeep (sandeep.ahuja@cove.inc), is a testament to this foresight Blog Genie Tool Blog Genie V 2.0. The goal was never to replace human creativity entirely, but to leverage AI to automate routine tasks of content generation, freeing up individuals to focus on what truly matters: the unique perspective, the compelling narrative, the "self-generated digital content" that embodies one's thought processes and writing style. This is about amplifying the human touch, not diminishing it. The discussion around how Blog Genie could learn from my "3000+ blogs, and 4000+ notes" to generate new content is precisely about embedding that unique human essence into AI-driven creation.
The rise of AI doesn't render human skills obsolete; rather, it redefines which skills are most valuable. When machines can efficiently handle the analytical and repetitive aspects of engineering, the distinctly human capabilities—empathy, imagination, critical thinking, and, yes, storytelling—become paramount. This shift, as observed by Kevin O'Leary, is not a threat, but an opportunity for us to rediscover and cultivate the creative faculties that make us uniquely human. It's a call to embrace the art of crafting narratives that connect, inspire, and move people, an area where AI, for all its power, still serves as a tool, not a master.

Hemen Parekh
