Of Attributes and Weightages


 


Hey Grok Bhai :

Yesterday we chatted about how AI is now in a position to help Headhunters find suitable candidates for any specified position / vacancy in their Client companies . I gave to you just the TITLE and the name of the company ( Chairman / Hindustan Copper Limited ) and you promptly found 5 suitable candidates with their Linkedin profiles. A great job indeed , considering that , while considering the “ Match “ , you did not have much to go by !  I suppose you framed some “ assumptions “ in respect of the “ Attributes “ required for that position

But headhunters do get from their Clients , reasonably detailed list of “ Attributes “ by way of a “ Mandate “

That certainly helps the headhunters , but not enough

There are several “ Attributes  “ listed in a long document . A headhunter must figure out which attribute is very important and which is only peripheral .

Over the phone or in a face to face meeting, the headhunter tries to question his client and make some educated “ guesses “ in respect of the “ Relative Importance “ of those various attributes – only to discover , at a too late stage , that the client had meant otherwise !

I feel there is a strong need ( between the Client and the headhunter ) for an “ Prior Agreed “ list of attributes – along with WEIGHTAGES for each . Not only will this avoid any misunderstanding later on but it would lead to a much “ faster searching “  of  much more “ suitable candidates “
