This carefully anticipated trajectory shows how indispensable smell—and by extension, taste—is to spurring a believable and immersive experience.

In a significant step toward making government exams more secure, the Staff Selection Commission ( SSC ) has started using an AI – powered content anchoring tool developed by technology services provider Cubastion Consulting [ solutions@cubastion.com  ]  during departmental competitive exams for various Central Government posts

 

Artificial Intelligence ( AI ) is now helping select questions from a vast pre-approved bank , ensuring the final paper is well – structured and free from duplication and repetition.

 

It also creates the paper in real-time , dynamically defining its structure just before the exam. This not only saves time but also significantly improves the quality and integrity of the exams

 

Another major shift is that the exam papers are now released just fifteen minutes before the examination. Until that moment, no user or official can see the questions or which questions will be part of the paper. Access requires digital verification, and the paper is protected using advanced encryption and digital signatures

 

The paper can only be decrypted with the correct digital signature, making it extremely secure. The tight multi-layered security ensures no scope for leaks at any level and accountability if a breach is ever attempted

 

The system has been built on a zero-trust model, an industry-standard cybersecurity approach that assumes no user or system is trusted by default. This means every access attempt must be verified , adding another layer of protection.

 

The first examination using this technology was conducted on June 15.

"We are proud to have enabled the first-ever examination to be conducted through this advanced infrastructure . It is a transformational moment , not just for SSC but for the broader examination eco-system in India “ , SSC Chairman S Gopalakrishnan [ js.gopal@meity.gov.in ]         said.

It is Not That Simple
Several years ago, I wrote about the complexity of vehicle registration and parking in Mumbai. I highlighted the Bombay High Court’s scrutiny of multiple-vehicle ownership and the critical need to verify sufficient parking before granting new vehicle registrations. Back in 2015, Justice Patil astutely pointed out the immense strain on local infrastructure and pedestrian spatial rights. This foresight anticipated the very policy now being proposed by CM Fadnavis.

Reading this today, it strikes me how prescient that assessment was. The concept of conditioning vehicle purchase on parking availability is not new; it was debated in legal and administrative circles years ago but lacked the technological tools and political will to implement decisively. Integrating parking data into an enforcement-friendly app might be the catalyst turning past ideas into actionable policy. I have always believed that urban vehicle regulation requires more than lip service—it demands systemic enforcement, innovative solutions, and a holistic change in urban mobility culture. This development aligns perfectly with that conviction.

Dear Sanjay Pandeyji: Neither Car Makers Nor Buyers Can Be Blamed Alone
A few months back, I expressed cautious optimism regarding mandatory parking certification before vehicle registration, underscoring how it would reshape urban transport policy. However, I also warned about knee-jerk, myopic reactions that could penalize prospective buyers unfairly while ignoring entrenched irregularities like unregulated parking of commercial vehicles and two-wheelers, the real culprits behind congestion.
