Have A Good Suggestion ? Send it to PM

If your suggestion is in the national interest , Shri Modi will implement it ( - you will need to persevere , since he is a very busy man )

I sent him ( and to his Cabinet Colleagues ), below-listed 39 emails over the past 50 weeks , suggesting :

PART A : Replace current paper currency notes with plastic currency notes (Rs 500 / 1000 )

PART B : Embed new plastic notes with RFID sensors to alert ED re excessive accumulation

His announcement last evening goes to prove that , for the first time , we have a Prime Minister , who listens to suggestions of ordinary citizens - and has the courage to implement the same , if found good

But , if Shri Modi wants to win a thumping majority in the upcoming 5 State elections and get 400 + seats in 2019 Lok Sabha elections , then he should also implement PART B of my suggestion before March 2017 -  a la  TRUMP  ?

 Is there a possibility that the new notes are ALREADY embedded with RFID sensors but it is kept a closely guarded SECRET ?

Being a shrewd politician , Shri Modi knows too well , all the methods by which the Black Marketers will return to their old tricks ( market is already abuzz with a hawala rate of 12.5 % , for " NEW for OLD " ! )

With his well-kept secret , maybe he wants to strike a DEATH KNELL when time is ripe !

Remember , what he said at the Central Vigilance Commission function , on Monday ?
"  Government is trying to curb corruption with the aid of technology  "

In the meantime , he deserves a BHARAT RATNA , for being instrumental in GARIBI HATAO , which has made him the most popular Prime Minister since independence !

Still , there is Hope

Someone is supposed to have said :

"  A Government can only prevent BAD things from happening : it cannot make GOOD things to happen "

But , NDA  government is proving that someone wrong !

Under its DIGITAL INDIA initiative , just look at all these WONDERFUL / GOOD things that are actually happening :

*   Aadhar  based Unique Identification

*   Jan Dhan Bank Accounts needing ZERO deposits

*   UPI ( Unified Payment Interface ) / RuPay

*   Digital Locker

*   Unified Mobile App for New Age Governance

And a host of other initiatives that will change the boundaries of our ECONOMY in next 2 years

But the greatest CHALLENGE continues to evade the WILL of the POLICY MAKERS , viz:

"  How to permanently eliminate  CORRUPTION   and   BLACK MONEY   ? "

Despite the fact that , there is a ,

SIMPLE  /  SUPER-FAST  /  SURE and CHEAP  solution , " hiding in plain sight " !

Viz :

Replace existing Rs 500 / 1000 , paper Currency Notes with new / plastic currency notes , embedded with RFID micro - sensors ( one fiftieth the thickness of a human hair ) , announcing their presence to IT / ED , if concentration exceeds Rs 1 crore in any ONE square meter area , anywhere in India !

Question :

Is there a POLITICAL WILL to implement this ?

{  Short Answer :  NO   /  Long  Answer :  Ask Shri Narendra Modiji  }

And if anyone has ANY DOUBT as to the feasibility / practicality of my suggestion , let him read following news report which appeared in Economic Times ( Nov 6-12 / 2016 ) :

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ARROW  SMART  SHIRT

Arrow is first off the block with a " Smart Apparel in India " - simply called the Smart Shirt

Available in multiple colors , the shirt has a programmable NFC tag embedded in the left sleeve cuff

You download the free Arrow Smart Shirt app from Google Play on your phone and set up your profile

The initial set up requires you to connect your social media accounts , choose your favorite app , song and playlist

You can then use the app to configure the NFC tag on the shirt to perform a function - it could be to share your Contact Card , switch your phone to vibrate mode , start playing your favorite song or launch an app - you can re-programme the tag as and when you want to perform a different function

Just tap on the left sleeve and you are notified with a slight vibration when the NFC tag is configured as well as when it performs the preset function

Over time , we found it easier to tap on the shirt than unlock the phone and then navigate the menu to perform various functions

Granted , it's a very basic application of smart functionality , but it does help in making some routine tasks faster

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This frugal application of embedding a NFC tag ( basically , a RFID sensor ) in a washable cloth shirt ( selling for Rs 3,000 ) , might earn Arvind Group , a few hundred crores of rupees in next 5 years

Apparently , even that small amount of revenue , is a big enough deal for a Private Sector company to innovate / experiment

But , if my suggestion is implemented , that might bring into the productive ECONOMIC MAIN STREAM , Rs 50 lakh*crores worth of BLACK MONEY , within ONE YEAR !

Cost of RFID  sensor ?   10 paise per piece  of that plastic Currency Note !

Implementation time ?   6 months from the word " GO " !

What about its POLITICAL IMPLICATIONS ?

400 + seats for BJP in 2019 Lok Sabha Election !

I am still hoping that Shri Modiji will seize this  OPPORTUNITY  of  a  NATION's  LIFE TIME  !

Teach them to Fish

We have all heard the old adage :

Do not give fish to a hungry beggar : teach him , how to fish

When it comes to applying this simple truth to Indian Economy , I believe , the highest Corporate Social Responsibility ( CSR ) , of India's large companies, is to teach the MSME SECTOR ,

"  HOW  TO  BECOME  MORE  EFFICIENT  ?  MORE  PRODUCTIVE  ?  MORE  COMPETITIVE  ? " ,

by imbibing the SYSTEMS  / PROCEDURES / PRACTICES etc , which helped them become large themselves .

Dear Presidents of  FICCI  /  ASSOCHAM  /  CII :

I had sent to you my following suggestion  TWO  YEARS  back . Now I send it once again , hoping that , this time you will take the initiative to debate its feasibility .

Let me know if I can help in any way - including design of the portal

On 17 Nov 2014 , when I wrote to Shri Amitabh Kant ( - the then Secretary , DIPP ) , to build this feature as part of " Make In India " web site , not only he found time to read my email , but also replied within 2 days :

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

19  Nov  2014

Dear Hemen,

This is a mobile first initiative. The site has to be kept extremely light in content. We will be happy to do it on DIPP.com. Too much content will make it too heavy.

Regards,

Amitabh Kant

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My suggestion will help " TEACH " the MSME of our country , " How To Do / What To Do ( - the KNOW HOW ) "

And only , your Associations can implement this !

with regards,

BENCH-MARKING  INDIA  INC

Launching of  MakeInIndia web site was a great initiative

It can be made greater if its scope gets expanded to enable millions of SME ( Small Medium Enterprises ) to quickly learn / absorb the best Manufacturing / Management practices of India's most successful companies

Over 20 / 30 / 40 years , these companies have developed / evolved , some of the best practices in different functional areas , such as :

* Project Planning / Execution

* Financing / Fund Raising

* Long Term Strategy

* Cost Accounting

* Capital Budgeting

* Dealership Network

* Supply Management

* Subcontracting / Outsourcing

* Vendor Development

* Statistical Quality Control

* Tendering

* Human Resource Development

* Maintenance Management

* Logistics Planning

* Salary / Wages Structuring......etc etc

In each of these Functional Areas , these Companies have created  :

*   Standard Office Procedures

*   Approved Shop Practices

*   Operation Manuals

*   Forms ( Online / Offline )

*   Documentation

*   Software Tools

*   Brochures / Pamphlets

*   Agreements / Contracts

*   Legal Undertakings / Notices

*   Board Resolutions

*   PERT Charts

*   Process Monitoring Graphs......etc

And which are these " Successful " Companies ?

* L&T  /  Reliance / Birla Group / Adani Group / Infosys / Wipro / and hundreds of others

Can they be persuaded to share these data by uploading on
MakeInIndia web site ? - for 25 million SME to download / modify and implement in their own companies ?

I am sure if our PM , Shri Narendrabhai Modi , makes such a request to
ASSOCHAM / FICCI / CII and other similar organizations , these companies would gladly come forward to share with the rest of the Indian Corporate , the KNOWLEDGE / WISDOM  that lies captured in the above mentioned documents / manuals

It is high time , we think " Out Of Box "

It is time to convert
Private Intellectual Property ( PIP ) , into National Intellectual Property ( NIP )

I am not suggesting that any Company should reveal any of its " Trade Secrets / Patents "

But if MakeInIndia has to become a resounding success , successful companies must undertake to mentor 25 million SME

Hope on the Horizon ?

Following news reports , once again , confirm that NDA govt is one that listens to suggestions of ordinary citizens - and also implements the same , if found useful

Coming soon ! UMANG, the master app for government services

A master app to unlock government services for citizens on the mobile phone is slated for launch within four months, but only a small number of amenities will form part of the initial rollout, according to people aware of the plan

"Since most government services will be linked to Aadhaar, it makes sense to integrate it with UMANG," said a senior official in the ministry of electronics and information technology, referring to Unified Mobile App for New-Age Governance which will be a mobile gateway to central, state and municipal services.

"
UMANG will enable citizens to download a single mobile app instead of multiple apps for each department, and make it easy for them to discover government services," the official said.

Redressal System to be in place before law

The PMO had identified enacting a Public Grievance Law as one of the key priority areas  ... but the Prime Minister's office wanted to first set a system in place

As PM too , Modi has been closely monitoring Grievance Redressal and pulled up officials who have defaulted on the timelines

Once the scheme is rolled out , the next stage will be to back it up by law

Over 3.5 million avail online services of Maha Depts

After the Rights to Services ( RTS ) Act was introduced by the government , over 3.5 million citizens have availed online services from various departments of the State government

From the eight revenue divisions , there are at least 2.25 crore citizens who visited the portal

Of these 2.25 crore citizens , almost 49.94 lakh people had requested for various online services of which, 36.17 lakh applications were provided services in the stipulated time frame

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am happy that all those Ministers / MPs / MLAs /  Secretaries , to whom I repeatedly sent my following suggestion ( as emails ) , took cognizance of the same - and found it good enough to implement :

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Saturday, 29 December 2012

I  SIN  >  <   U   SIN

That could be the name of an android app ( I Seek It Now > < U

 Solve It Now )

To be developed by India’s Central Home Ministry for successful implementation of proposed,

Delivery  of  Services  Act

The app will come pre-installed on those mobile phones which

 Government of India plans to distribute FREE , to some 400 million “

Poor People “ of India , before the 2014 National Election ( and on

 those 220 million Aakash Tablets )

Issuer will enter the Mobile No and that person’s Aadhar Card No, in

 a computerized central database , before issuing the phone

Hence , no need to login to the App , whose screen will read,

 I WISH TO  SEND  MY  COMPLAINT  TO  THE  FOLLOWING

  DEPARTMENTS :

·                  National Commission for Women

·                  Garbage Clearance

·                  Water Supply

·                  Electricity Supply

·                  Roads Repair

·                  Rationing ( Food Distribution )

·                  Police

·                  Bus Transport

·                  Railways

·                  Post

·                  Employment

·                  Education

·                  Irrigation

·                  Building Permits

·                  Revenue / Land Records

·                  Anti Corruption

·                  Other ……………………………………….etc
·
         (List should not exceed 50)

Touching name of any department name will open a SMS message

 box where the user will type out his complaint ( in a language of his

 choice )

There will be option to speak-out and record voice message , for

 illiterate users

Touching SEND button will transmit the complaint and within

 minutes, user will receive SMS reply , giving,

·                  Name of Officer responsible

·                  Office Landline No

·                  Mobile No

·                  Email Id

·                  Complaint No

·                  Expected date of solving
·

Bingo !

Then publish online , a tabulation of departments , arranged in the

 descending order of the no of complaints received / cleared /

 pending !

This frugal innovation will bring in Good Governance all over India

Request Nandan Nilekani / Sam Pitroda to help out , even though
 they may be busy implementing my earlier suggested app ,

“ VotesApp “

I have no doubt that the political party which promises , “ I SIN > <

 U SIN “ ,  will get voted to power in 2014
