Adani starts to install share EV chargers in 4k hsg socs

Extract:

Adani Electricity has embarked on a significant initiative by introducing 8,500 EV chargers across 4,000 Mumbai housing societies.

These charging points are designed to be conveniently installed on the premises of flat owners to facilitate the charging of electric vehicles.

This infrastructure aims to support the growing adoption of electric vehicles and reduce the carbon footprint in urban areas by providing accessible charging facilities.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Take:

Navi Mumbai society installs 3 solar-powered electric-vehicle charging stations…..30/09/2019

In my earlier blog, I highlighted the installation of solar-powered EV charging stations in residential complexes, showcasing the shift towards sustainable energy practices.

The current development by Adani Electricity echoes the foresight of integrating renewable energy sources for EV charging, as witnessed in Navi Mumbai.

This proactive approach not only reduces energy costs but also promotes eco-friendly transportation solutions.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Something is Better Than Nothing……..22/11/2018

The proposal to establish convenient and efficient EV charging stations in residential and commercial buildings aligns with the idea of providing accessible charging infrastructure to support electric vehicle users.

The emphasis on round-the-clock charging facilities and on-spot payment services resonates with the need for user-friendly solutions, reflecting a forward-thinking approach towards sustainable mobility.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Every Building Battery Charging Station…..26/10/2018

The concept of integrating battery charging stations in every building or housing society, as discussed earlier, is gaining momentum with Adani Electricity's large-scale deployment of EV chargers in Mumbai societies.

This move not only enhances convenience for EV owners but also sets a precedent for widespread adoption of electric vehicles by addressing the critical need for accessible charging infrastructure.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Call to Action:

To the authorities overseeing urban development and infrastructure planning in Mumbai, I urge you to continue supporting initiatives like the widespread installation of EV chargers in housing societies.

Forests, lakes & mines even if held privately constitute community: CJI

Property held in private hands cannot be outside state control: SC

Extract:

The Supreme Court's recent judgment highlighted that private property cannot be considered outside state control concerning sustainable development and intergenerational equity.

The court deliberated on this matter in a series of cases from Maharashtra. Furthermore, the bench agreed to broaden the scope of examination to determine if the MHADA Act would benefit from the safe harbour protection under Article 31C of the Constitution.

This crucial stance by the Supreme Court emphasizes the significance of state oversight in balancing private property rights with broader societal interests, especially in the context of sustainable development and equitable resource distribution within the state.

My Take:

Home for Ram………..27/02/2019

In my earlier blog post, I discussed the importance of negotiated solutions and emphasized the need for resolutions that don't result in winners or losers, particularly in sensitive matters like property rights.

The recent Supreme Court ruling aligns with this perspective by underscoring the essence of finding solutions that ensure no party is left at a disadvantage.

This reaffirms the idea that harmony and equitable outcomes should be the guiding principles in legal proceedings, echoing the court's call for a balance between private property rights and public interests.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We Have Precedents……………..12/11/2019

Drawing from my past blog on fostering communal harmony, the current judgment by the Supreme Court sets a precedent for resolving disputes in a manner that upholds the public good over individual interests.

The call for state intervention to regulate private property in the interest of sustainable development resonates with the need for governmental action to promote harmony and collective well-being.

Implementing such decisions not only strengthens the legal framework but also paves the way for a more inclusive and equitable society, in line with the court's emphasis on maintaining a balance between private ownership and public welfare.

Call to Action:

To the policymakers and authorities involved in the interpretation and implementation of legal guidelines, I urge you to consider the Supreme Court's recent judgment as a guiding light for crafting laws that prioritize sustainable development and equitable resource distribution.

Embracing the notion that private property rights should not supersede the state's obligation to ensure intergenerational equity can lead to a more harmonious and just society.

Let's work towards fostering a legal framework that upholds both individual rights and collective well-being for a more balanced and prosperous future.

By focusing on grassroots concerns and engaging with the political process at a local level, the citizens of Chandivali are showcasing the power of civic engagement and community-driven governance.

This move highlights the importance of a bottom-up approach in shaping political agendas and influencing decision-making processes.

My Take:

ARISE and AWAKE!.................29/10/2018

"In the spirit of awakening active citizenship, Chandivali’s initiative resonates with the call for citizens to rise and demand accountability from political representatives.

By articulating their specific concerns like air pollution and encroachments, the citizen group exemplifies the power of collective action in driving meaningful change.

This hands-on approach towards influencing electoral agendas underscores the significance of citizen-led initiatives in shaping the political landscape."

Call to Action:

To the citizen group from Chandivali and all communities engaging in similar efforts, continue to amplify your voices and hold political nominees accountable.

India Emerges

India emerges as worlds services factory: Report

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Extract:

India has emerged as the world's services factory, with its share in global services exports more than doubling over the past 18 years. This growth is attributed to the rise of global capability centres (GCCs), playing a pivotal role in expanding India's export capabilities.

According to a recent global report, the expansion of India's services sector has been significant despite challenges faced by sectors like tourism, aviation, and hospitality due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The report highlights the positive outlook for India in the services exports sector, driven by comprehensive trade deals with countries such as the UAE and Australia, along with ongoing negotiations for free trade agreements with the European Union, the UK, Canada, and Israel.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Take:

Services Export: the Saviour…..18/10/2023

The relevance of the quoted paragraph from my blog "Leveraging our Engineering Talent" from December 2018 is evident in the current scenario of India's booming services exports.

Back then, I emphasized the potential of the service sector over manufacturing, highlighting the lower capital investment per job created and the higher job creation rate. Today, as India's services sector thrives, my prediction about the service sector's growth and job creation has been validated.

This growth aligns with the current trend of India's dominance in global services exports, underlining the importance of tapping into our engineering talent for continued success.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Call to Action:

To the policymakers and industry stakeholders involved in shaping India's trade and economic policies, I urge a continued emphasis on bolstering the services sector.

With India's services exports reaching new heights, it is imperative to prioritize investments and policies that further enhance the country's competitive edge in this domain.

Embracing technology, fostering innovation, and nurturing talent are key steps to solidify India's position as a global services powerhouse. Let's seize this momentum and propel India's services industry to even greater heights.
