I suggested this in my following blogs :
PIYUSH PLAN ? [

“ Who knows , some owners of electric cars may even install one in their garage to serve dual purpose ( improve
health + charge the car ). No doubt , a higher capacity version !
And , may be all GYMS around the country will install one ! “
All Charged
Up ? [ 15 Aug 2016 ] ,
“ what is the break-through needed ?
# A " LOW COST "
Charging Station that can fully charge an electric car in " 5
MINUTES " - and at " HOME " !
( or , at the most , in the Cooperative Housing Society , where you live )
Manoj Bhargava ( Free Electric /
BillionsinChange.com )
I am sure , given a challenge , he will come up with higher capacity
Electric Power Generating Bicycles which
can charge StoreDot's
FlashBattery , which , in turn will charge
the electric cars at night , parked in the
compound of a Cooperative Housing Society
Health-conscious Members of the Society , will be , more than happy to "
pedal " such bicycles , housed in the
common
Gym of the Society , after returning from office !
What's more , each Member's
" One Hour
of Pedaling " will earn him ,
one car recharge of 5 MINUTES !
Besides
providing a " vastly economic ( free ?
) " car recharging solution , this will improve the health !
More
than one Solution [ 28 April
2017 ],
EACH HOME – A
CHARGING STATION
Do not rule out Manoj Bhargava ( BillionsinChange )
coming out with his next generation ( V 2.0 ) electricity generating bicycle to
be able to re-charge such small / quickly rechargeable batteries , right in
your garage or housing society compound !
PEDAL YOUR WAY TO
HEALTH
As a part of a strategy to generate additional revenues ,
expect GYM owners to install BillionsinChange bicycles replacing
regular tread-mills – allowing any stranger ( not a regular customer ) to
generate electricity while improving their health ! without paying fees /
subscription !
Dear Shri Hardeep Singh
Puriji .
From the following news report , I understand that you plan to
implement this suggestion :
E-car
charging stations could soon become mandatory in your residential building
The government
proposes to amend building by-laws to make it mandatory to set up electric vehicle charging stations in residential and commercial
buildings and parking lots.
The proposals include ,
·
offering round
the-clock charging infrastructure facility to all electric vehicles in residential buildings,
·
setting up charging
bays at 20% capacity of all vehicles,
·
on-spot metering and
payment services in both commercial and residential buildings
Dear Shri Puriji,
There is no news that Manoj Bhargava ( BillionsInChange )
has any plans to come up with a high capacity Electricity Generating bicycle
that can charge a Store Dot battery
Therefore I urge you to consider use of roof top mounted SOLAR PANELS for charging these
batteries
Of course , such a set up would require Battery Storage Devices , so that residents may charge
their Electric Cars at night , from a charging outlet in their garages ( many city
municipalities have already made it mandatory that new buildings must provide
sufficient parking garages for all the residents )
Context :
The new charging station is part of the
‘ Smart Solar Charging ’ project by LomboXnet and
several other local partners in Utrecht.
It is equipped with 20 charging points
connected to a 200-panel solar array and a 400kW/800kWh Tesla Powerpack battery system.
During the day, electric vehicles can
charge on sunlight and the excess solar power is stored in Tesla’s battery
packs, which is also connected to the grid, if there aren’t enough EVs
charging.
After the sun goes down, the Powerpack
can feed the solar power back to the charging station.

Dear Shri Puriji,
Your idea is even better
!
Why have road-side EV battery charging stations , where EVs have
to queue up for 3 hours (time those Electric Cars supplied to EESL by TATA and
M&M need for a full charge ) ?
Hardly any city car travels more than 80 km per day. One overnight charge in one’s own garage is
more than sufficient !
So , why not make a beginning of your proposal , with those
millions of buildings being built all over India, under PM Awas Yojana ? Make it mandatory for these to have a Roof
Top Solar based Battery Charging Installation
Through your “ Out of the Box “ thinking , you will succeed in
breaking the VICIOUS CIRCLE of :
·
Buyers don’t want to buy Electric Vehicles because there is no
Battery Charging Infrastructure
·
Manufacturers will not make Electric Cars if there are no buyers
·
No one wants to invest lakhs of rupees in setting up a Battery
Charging Station if only 2 cars turn up for charging during entire day !
And , instead of subsidizing buyers of Electric Cars with Rs
130,000 , why not give this subsidy to the HOUSE BUILDER , for each “ Battery
Charging Garage “ ?
[ Caution : Only
if Solar Powered ! ]
Surely , since the power consumed ( by each garage ) will be
metered , Cooperative Society ( or owner of the flat / building ) , will have
no difficulty in recovering the initial investment over 3 / 5 years , even if
the tenant / member sells the flat
Currently , State Governments are giving a subsidy of 30 % ( of
the Capital Cost ) for Roof Top Solar Power projects , either to an owner or to
a Cooperative Housing Society
As an alternative ( to Rs 1.3 lakh per electrified garage ) ,
this Roof Top Solar subsidy could be made 100 % for those who also incorporate Battery
Charging Installations
