Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

Mukesh : the Enabler

In Sanskrit ,

Muk  =  Silent     /    Ish    =   God

Conjoined ,  Mukesh  =  Silent God

But Mukesh Ambani does not want to be a “ silent god “

He prefers to be an “ Outspoken Enabler “ for millions of young Indians ( employed / unemployed / self employed )

How ?

At the recent India Mobile Congress , Reliance Jio , in partnership with Ericsson , envisioned following :

Reliance Jio Infocomm and Ericsson Friday said they had unveiled jointly developed 5G use cases which were showcased over a live 5G network in Navi Mumbai and in Delhi.

The use cases leveraged the gigabit speed and ultra-low latency capabilities of the nextgen technology to highlight key benefits such as
·         the remote operation of machines (robotic arms, vehicles), and
·         possibilities enabled through virtual reality (VR)

Nunzio Mirtillo, head of South East Asia, Oceania and India at Ericsson, says: “Our goal behind developing use cases with our partners is to develop tangible concepts that can be taken forward and implemented by industry”.

He added that the use cases unveiled Friday can find application in sectors such as mining, education, and healthcare.

Additionally, the use of VR within the healthcare space continues to grow even as new solutions and applications are being developed for use in hospitals, medical consultant surgeries, training institutions, and more.

And Mumbai Mirror reported :

“ 5G introduces the ability to REMOTELY CONTROL devices and HEAVY MACHINERY, thus unlocking the potential for improved mission-critical applications in MEDICAL SERVICES , SURGERIES , and INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION that would otherwise be unavailable “

“ 5G will also allow for operations of MACHINES to be controlled in hazardous conditions in order to keep human life safe “

“ Jio also sees use for 5G in TELEMEDICINES – a practice of using telecommunication technology to evaluate , diagnose and TREAT PATIENTS , remotely

He ( Mukesh Ambani ) however sounded a word of caution on data usage :

“ We have to be mindful that data is the MOST IMPORTANT RESOURCE in this new world

And India and Indians will generate a humongous amount of data . It is important that we utilize this rich resource for the benefit of India and Indians, with adequate safeguards “

On 09 Sept 2015 , I wrote in following blog ( sent as email to our Policy Makers ) :

" BACK FACTORY " OF THE WORLD ?

We depend upon you to bring the jobs to India - jobs such as ,

  *   Operating Machinery in Factories abroad

  *   Controlling Air Traffic at Airports around the World

  *   Operating upon patients in Hospitals , all over

  *   Teaching students in Schools , in remote Africa

  *   Any job that currently requires immediate presence of a worker

And , if you set up a " Back Factory " , you don't need to pay Corporate Income Tax for next 10 years !

When this happens ,

·           Millions of skilled Indian workers will operate factories around the World ,

sitting in , internet connected " Back Factories " in small Indian towns

·          " Contract Labour Act " will need to be replaced with " Back Factory Act

·          " Minimum Wages Act " will need to be scrapped !

·            India will not need to fight with WTO on " Manpower / Service Exports "

Dear Shri Narendrabhai,

This is the ONLY WAY , we can create 12 million “ SELF  EMPLOYED “ every year

If you fail to announce “ BACK FACTORY ACT “ in Feb 2019 budget , you may not get a chance to do so in Feb 2020 budget  !
