Far ? A long way to Run ?

This is how Julie Andrew sang in film, “ Sound of Music “ :

Doe, a deer, a female deer
Ray, a
drop of golden sun
Me, a name I call myself
Far, a long way to run……..

When I read the following report, I felt elated – but only momentarily  :

Highlights :

MCA-21 portal is the electronic backbone for dissemination of information to all stakeholders, including the regulator, corporate and investors

The portal also provides public access to corporate information.

……….follow the principle of single source of truth so that one is not required to fill in known details again (as it will get filled automatically).

We will also interlink databases — Income Tax Department, GSTN, RBI and FIU so that routine enforcement is done 24x7 on an autopilot basis.

===================================================

Why elated ?

It seemed that the Corporate Affairs Ministry was on its way to implement my following suggestions :

Break-down the Silos !  ……………………………………………………………[  16  Sept  2017  ]

E - Governance ?    …………………………………………………………………. [  03  April  2014  ]

An " Aadhar " for Corporate ?  ………………………………………………….[  12  May  2016  ]

Why “ only momentarily “ ?

Just try to search for “ Company Information “ on Ministry’s portal at :

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Check Company Name

Stakeholders are requested to ensure that the proposed name selected does not contain any word as prohibited inSection 4(2) & (3) of the Companies Act, 2013 read with Rule 8 of the Companies (Incorporation) Rules, 2014.

Stakeholders are also requested to read and understand Rule 8 of the Companies (Incorporation) Rules, 2014 in respect of any proposed name before applying for the same.

Company / LLP Name*

Activity Type

NO  RESULT  !

Dear Injeti Srinivas  [ Secretary – Corporate Affairs Ministry /  secy.mca@nic.in ]

I urge you to simplify “ Company Search “ user-face in following ways :

#   Alphabetical Search ( All companies starting with a given alphabet )

#   Auto Suggest   (  no matter what spelling mistake a visitor may make )

#   Industry-wise Search ( Companies listed under their main business activity )

This means , a given company can appear under more than one Industry Category

#   City wise search  ( Companies listed according to city names )

#   Combination of “ Industry wise “ and  “ City wise “ ( quick zero in )

I urge you to consult FICCI – ASSOCHAM – CII etc for improvement in user interface

No doubt, I suppose , you will also examine my suggestions listed in earlier links
