Ram : by Law ?

This was reported in Indian express ( 20  Aug ) :

Centre could opt for legislative route for Ram temple construction 

 

“ At present, in Parliament, we do not have adequate strength.

Because even if we bring the matter in Lok Sabha, our strength in the Rajya Sabha is less, and it will definitely be defeated.

Every devotee of Lord Ram knows this. The court will soon give its judgment.

The day we have the strength, it will be constructively used and not misused (Lekin Jis din hamare paas takat hogaa, uss takat ka sadpuyog hoga, durpayog nahi hoga),” Maurya told PTI.

Shri Maurya said this was the THIRD option

FIRST option :

Ø   would be a CONSENSUS (outside the court ) by all parties ( to the dispute ) concerned , to build the temple

Unfortunately , this has not happened so far despite efforts of many , including Shri Shri Ravi Shankarji and others

SECOND option :

Ø  would be a Supreme Court ORDER in favor of building the temple

This too is unlikely since Supreme Court has declared that it will treat this dispute as, purely  a “ Land Ownership “ matter , and decide whether this land belongs to ,

·         One of the parties to the dispute ,  OR

·         UP government ,  OR

·         Central government

If Supreme Court decides that the land belongs to VHP or UP govt or Central Govt , then there will be no hurdle for building the temple .

But if it decides that the land belongs to erstwhile owners of BABRI MASJID , things will get complicated , despite periodic ( bravado ? ) statements by all the parties that they will “ honor the court verdict “ ( - as a face-saving formula ? ) . Tempers are bound to rise  !

Of course , THIRD option depends upon NDA getting an absolute majority , both in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha , after 2019 general elections

This is a too big an “ IF “  !

But even if NDA does manage such a majority , it must remember that the most important thing in a FEDERAL / SECULAR democracy is not BULLDOZING your way because of sheer majority

If Shri Modiji / Shri Rajnath Singhji can repeatedly speak of winning over the militant / misguided youth of Kashmir by evoking Shri Atal Bihari Vajpai’s mantra of “ Jhammoriat  /  Insaaniyat  /  Kashmiryat  “ , then they must go all out to win over the Muslim leaders ( Sunni – Shia Boards / Muslim Personal Law Board ),  to arrive at an amicable CONSENSUS , before the Supreme Court verdict expected by Dec

And , fortunately , there exists one COMPROMISE solution which has a very HIGH PROBABILITY of obtaining such a consensus  !
