First Step : Second Step : Third Step

In regards to the three steps of Vishnu, Glucklich points out that in some legends of Vamana and the Asura-king Bali, that ,

>     the first [step] covered the entire earth,

>     the second covered the atmosphere, and

>     the third measured heaven in its entirety

To defeat 2020 Asura of Covid :

FIRST STEP     {  Ensuring Security of PERSONAL DATA of users } :

Ø  Govt banned 59 Chinese Mobile Apps, fearing that these apps pass-on PERSONAL DATA of their users to the Chinese Government

SECOND STEP   { Encouraging Localization of PERSONAL DATA of users } :

Extract :

#  “ This ban on Chinese applications and promoting the Atm-Nirbhar mentality, I
think is a great step forward for India’s interest. And my question is, you know,
if we truly want to do that, let us look at applying the same guidelines for
security in national interest, to ALL apps across the globe “ , he said

Extract :
          # The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has decided to ban several
mobile applications, mostly of Chinese origin, officials familiar with the matter said.
The applications — Helo Lite, ShareIt Lite, Bigo Lite and VFY Lite — have been
removed from the Google playstore and Apple app store, the officials said.

THIRD STEP  {  Enabling Monetization of PERSONAL DATA of users  }  :

Ø  Digital Dividend from Demographic Data [ 4 D ]  …………………[ 14 Feb 2019 ]

     Extract :

     #   Question :

Is there a way to make the likes of Google – Facebook – Twitter – Instagram –
WhatsApp etc to pay their users, every time they use / sell, users’ personal

          data  ?

     #   Answer :

          Absolutely !

          Just implement :

         How will it help ?

SARAL will become the DATA REPOSITORY of  500 million current Indian internet
              users and will keep growing

This  DATABASE  will become the single largest ( and searchable ) Demographic
             Profile in entire World

Data Buyers will be allowed to search this database and compile / download “
Target Demographic Profiles “ upon online payment of published “ Sale
             Price “   to  SARAL

Such profiles will not reveal the identities of the registered Indian users ( of SARAL ) .

The compiled profiles will be anonymized / aggregated

SARAL will immediately distribute the Sale Income among the users whose data got
included in the downloaded Demographic Profie ( DBT into bank accounts of users )

How much should we charge the Purchasers for record of each user included in the
      download ?

      Rs 50 / =

How much do you think an user might earn per month from this arrangement ?

Assuming , his personal data gets included in 1000 downloads per month , he could end
up earning Rs 50,000 per month !  ( a Universal Basic Income without burdening
      exchequer  )

Dear Shri RaviShankar Prasadji,

Government introducing a 2 % Equalization Tax ( Google Tax ) on Social Media companies , was a welcome FIRST STEP

There are reports that since its introduction in 2016 , it has garnered Rs 216 crore for the Government ( approx. Rs 50 crore / year )

My above-mentioned suggestion ( of making Social Media Websites / E-com companies / Data Vendors etc , pay directly to EACH registered INDIAN, Rs 50,000 / month ), translates into Rs 300 BILLION / YEAR !

Have no doubt that, sooner than later, some country whose economy takes the biggest beating due to Covid pandemic, is bound to implement my suggestion

Desperate times demand desperate responses
