Gadkari questions credibility of Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme

Extract from the article:

In a recent development, Nitin Gadkari, a key political figure, has stirred controversy by criticizing Maharashtra's Ladki Bahin Yojana. He raised concerns that the scheme, aimed at supporting women and girls, might lead to delays in other subsidy programs. Gadkari's comments come at a crucial time ahead of state elections, adding a layer of complexity to the political landscape. By questioning the credibility of the Ladki Bahin scheme and equating a government to a 'vishkanya' or poisonous girl, Gadkari's remarks have sparked discussions and debates within political circles.

Nitin Gadkari's stance on the Ladki Bahin Yojana raises important questions about the prioritization of subsidies and the impact on various sectors in Maharashtra. His critique suggests a deeper scrutiny of how such welfare schemes are implemented and managed, shedding light on the intricacies of political decision-making and resource allocation within the state.

My Take:

A. Gadkariji: An EB Alternative for you

"The recent critique by Nitin Gadkariji on the Ladki Bahin Yojana brings to mind the importance of financial sustainability in political operations. Just as Gadkari advocated for electoral bonds in the past, his current concerns about subsidy delays highlight the ongoing struggle for adequate resources in governance."

B. Birth of New Industry

Extract from the article:

The article discusses the Government's initiative in launching the ₹10,900 Crore PM E-DRIVE Scheme to bolster the adoption of electric vehicles in the country. This scheme aims to provide incentives and support to accelerate the shift towards electric mobility.

By exempting corporate income tax on the revenue generated from the sale of electric vehicles, imposing a favorable GST rate on electric vehicle sales compared to petrol/diesel vehicles, and promoting the manufacturing of India-made lithium-ion batteries, the scheme intends to create a conducive environment for the electric vehicle industry to thrive and contribute towards a greener future.

The program also mandates annual reporting by all auto manufacturers to the Transport Ministry, showcasing the sales and revenue distribution between electric and traditional vehicles. This move not only promotes transparency but also underscores the government's commitment to monitor the progress and impact of the scheme, ensuring accountability and effective implementation in the long run.

My Take:

A. Fast Forward in Fourth Gear

"In my blog post from 2017, I proposed an EVICT (Electric Vehicle Incentive Corporate Tax) Scheme that mirrors the current government's strategy to exempt corporate income tax on electric vehicle sales.

The foresight to incentivize electric vehicles through tax benefits aligns with the ongoing efforts to boost eco-friendly transportation options."

B. NITI Proposes, SIAM Postpones

"Back in 2017, I highlighted the importance of EVICT Scheme and advocated for promoting the sale of India-manufactured lithium-ion batteries.

PM Internship Scheme : Spread to 10,000 Companies

Article link:

Poor start to innings, candidates back out after receiving offers

---

Extract from the article:

According to the provided internet article, the PM Internship scheme faced setbacks as some candidates withdrew after receiving offers.

Reasons cited by these candidates included parental pressure.

The corporate affairs ministry is dedicated to resolving these challenges as the program expands. The initial group of candidates commenced their activities on Monday, with more set to join.

The formal launch of the scheme might occur later in the current month. This development underscores the intricate dynamics involved in political nominations, with personal and familial factors interplaying with professional opportunities.

My Take:

Congratulations Dr. Pandeyji

"Reflecting on my earlier analysis of the PM Udyam Mitra for Excellence in Entrepreneurship Development (PMUmeed) scheme, the challenges faced in ensuring candidate commitment resonate with the current scenario.

Anticipating parental influence in decision-making is crucial when designing programs that involve young participants.

The need for stakeholder engagement and support mechanisms, as highlighted in my previous blog, remains pertinent for the success of such initiatives."

Crossing Chasm - Geoffrey Moore

"In considering the intricate dynamics of political nomination withdrawals, analogous to the challenges faced in marketing technology adoption discussed in my past blog post, navigating existing power structures and relationships is key.

Similar to how established players can hinder new entrants in the tech market, parental pressures and external influences can impede the smooth progression of political internship schemes. Understanding these barriers is essential for devising effective strategies for program sustainability."

One Crore Interns ? Sure, make it Fair and Equitable

Extract :

500 top companies will be required to train 1 crore ( 100 lakh ) interns over a period of 5 years . That is 20 lakh per year ( for one year internship )

That is  4,000 per year per TOP company

In light of the above-mentioned “ Liabilities “, I suggest that the additional requirement ( for training 20 lakh interns EACH YEAR ), instead of being dumped on ” Top 500 “ companies, is fairly and equitably distributed among the “ Top 10,000 “ companies, as shown in tabulation hereunder :

Call to Action:

To the Corporate Affairs Ministry and stakeholders involved in the PM Internship scheme,

-

I urge a thorough exploration of support mechanisms to address candidate uncertainties and external pressures.

Enhancing communication channels and providing mentorship opportunities can fortify candidate commitment and ensure the enduring success of the initiative.
