Context :
We
can be World's Human Resource Capital', says PM Modi at 'Skill India' Launch / 15 July 2015
Extract :
Here are the
highlights of his speech:
·
Today the world is celebrating
World Youth Skills Day and we are also contributing to the same.
·
Every poor Indian is my soldier.
I have to win the war of over poverty with them.
·
Skills not only puts money in your
pocket, it gives you self-confidence.
·
This mission is for those people
who are left behind. And who are these people? People with money aren't left
behind, these are the poor.
·
This initiative is not merely to
fill pockets but to bring a sense of self-confidence among the poor.
·
65 per cent of the Indian population
is under the age of 35. And if they don't have skill,
they will become a challenge for us rather than an opportunity.
·
Through this mission we want to
fulfil dreams of people and we want to do it in a structured way, taking states
together.
·
We have to create structures and mechanisms to nurture youngsters, enabling
them to find employment.
·
We want that a person should be
capable of multiple activities (skills).
·
We have not restricted ourselves
to skill development, we've focused on entrepreneurship.
·
We want to give opportunities to
apprentices who want to become entrepreneurs.
·
We have to make all our training
institutions dynamic. Technology is changing so rapidly that it is necessary to
be dynamic to remain relevant.
·
We have to map the strategy for
the next 10 years of development.
·
We have to have a futuristic
vision, need to think what technology will be there in the next 10 years.
· Matching job creation with industry demand is the key to end unemployment.
I congratulate Rajiv Pratap Rudy and his team for the manner in which they've
taken this ahead.

Target which Shri Modiji had set ( during launch of “ Skill India “ , 5 years back, was to impart
skills to some 400 million young Indians. I have
no idea how much of this target got achieved
But, Shri Modiji also said : We have to
create structures and mechanisms …. enabling them to find
employment
I just came across following “ Structure / Mechanism “
which might enable India’s youth to “ find work / tasks to be carried out remotely “ – and, in the process
“ Earn
Money “ :
Task
Mate (Early Access) / Google Apps / taskmate-contactus@google.com
Task Mate (beta)
is limited to selected testers at the moment. Please only download this app if
you have a referral code as we are unable to extend further invites at this
time.
* Find tasks nearby

* Cash out your earnings
Task Mate is a beta app made by Google that
provides access to a variety of simple tasks, posted by businesses around the world.
For example, take a photo of a nearby restaurant, answer survey
questions about your preferences, or help translate sentences
from English to your local language.
You can participate in tasks that you are interested in, or
choose to skip tasks. Tasks can be completed any time, from
anywhere.
You will be paid in local currency for the tasks that
you complete accurately and you will need an account with a third party
payments processor.
When you’re ready to cash out, simply register your e-wallet or account
with our payment partner in our app, then visit your profile page and hit the
“cash out” button. You can then withdraw your earnings in your local currency.
Please note - this app is in beta, as we continue
to learn more about how to provide additional earning opportunities through
crowdsourcing.

Dear Shri
Ravishankar Prasadji,
I urge you to ask Sundar Pichai ( CEO - Google ) to give preference to young Indians for participating in
this BETA version
If millions of Indians , sitting in their homes
with a Smart phone and WiFi connection can start completing BILLIONS of TASKS
posted by thousands of Companies from around the World , then we could truly
become that “ Human
resource Capital of the World “ as envisage by Shri Modiji , 5 years ago
Following is my own e-mail on this subject :
