The digital world is an endless tapestry of voices, each weaving its own unique narrative. I was reminded of this diversity when I came across a report on blogging that featured Aashna and her impressive fashion blog, The Snob Journal. In an article, she wisely noted, “Blogging doesn’t feel like working because I love what I do. You have to pick one thing that you love and focus on that.”
Her words resonated with me, though my path in the blogosphere has been quite different. While Aashna beautifully captures the world of fashion, my focus has always been narrowly aimed at contributing to national discourse on economic, political, and technological reforms.
For me, blogging isn't just about self-expression; it's a tool for advocacy. As I mentioned in a past correspondence, Your Blog, my process involves more than just publishing my thoughts online. I make a concerted effort to share my suggestions directly with those in positions to enact change—be it Cabinet Ministers, members of NITI Aayog, or the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council.
The real reward, for me, isn't in traffic or accolades. It's in seeing a well-researched idea, a carefully considered suggestion, find its way into the framework of a government policy. It's a quiet validation that a single, persistent voice can indeed contribute to the larger mechanism of governance.
Whether the subject is fashion or fiscal policy, every blogger contributes to the richness of our shared digital space. My chosen purpose, however, remains to use this platform to plant seeds of change, hoping they take root in the fertile ground of policy and progress.
