A Take-Off Time ?

Busiess Line ( 13 April 2017 ) carries a news report as follows :

“ e-car pioneer Chetan Maini’s venture to power up EV use “

The report reads :

·         Company plans to deploy an open-architecture ecosystem built around a network of quick interchange battery stations

·         These stations , predominantly powered by renewable energy, will refuel electric vehicles at cost lower than and speed faster than conventional petrol pumps

·         Company will partner with multiple OEMs to integrate its proprietary smart battery solution into a range of innovative electric vehicles- cars, buses, rickshaws, scooters etc

·         The smart batteries will be modular, easily swappable , IoT enabled and can be easily refuelled on a pay-as-you go basis

Congratulations , Shri Chetan Mainiji :

You are doing what can be expected only from a pioneer / visionary like you !

Don’t Miss this Opportunity !

DNA ( 16 April 2017 ) carries a report which says :

·         All vehicles in the state ( Maharashtra ) may soon have to switch over to High Security Number Plates ( HSNP )

·         The standardized plates will have features such as RFID ( radio frequency identification ) , which will help police track the location of a vehicle in case of theft

·         It will also have a snap-lock mechanism, that will prevent people from using fake number plates on their cars

-------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Shri Praveen Gedam :

Congratulations on this long overdue initiative

But look at the number of the vehicles in :

*    Mumbai …….      30 lakh

*    Maharashtra…….200 lakhs

*    India …… ………….2280 lakh vehicles

*    Added in 2015 …194 lakh new vehicles (

53,270 every single day !)

*    Added in 2016 …300 lakh new vehicles (

82,191 per day ! )

Sooner or later , all of these need to switch over to

RFID-embedded HSNP , which cannot be

manufactured by road-side “Number Plate Makers “

These will need to be manufactured by factories having specialized machinery

It will take YEARS to effect the change-over ! By which time millions of new vehicles would get added !

Exercise such as this just cannot be undertaken

frequently without causing enormous confusion

during the TRANSITION PERIOD

( eg : recent change-over to BS 4 standards )

It is therefore best to undertake the TRANSFORMATION of our vehicular TRANSPORT in one stroke by implementing the suggestions listed in :

ShriRaoteji has a Vision  ( 23 March 2017 )

Internetof Vehicles ( IoV )  [ 04 March 2017 ]

To prepare a  ROAD-MAP  for this transformation ,

you may want to rope in :

Dear Shri Gedam :

Our PM , Shri Narendra Modiji wants all of us to “

aim for the sky “ / “ think out of box “ / “ learn to

take risks “

Here is YOUR opportunity to offer an example !

Climb Every Wall / Cross Every Sea

Following is an extract from the Editorial in Times of India ( 20 April 2017 )

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 Contrarian play: When others are building walls, India should build opportunity and growth

Walls seem to be going up all around the globe. US President Donald Trump is tightening the screws on guest worker visas such as H1-B, a move causing concern to the Indian IT industry.

 How should India respond to such walls ? Trade wars won’t serve its interests.

If India is to endure as the world’s fastest-growing large economy, it will not be on the back of protectionism or economic nationalism no matter how much they are trending globally today.

Instead our tryst with destiny depends on reforms, liberalisation, deregulation, becoming a better place to do business…….

India has to turn others’ walls into its opportunities.

It’s becoming tougher for Indians to work abroad. If that talent is looking to return here or stay on instead of emigrating, let’s not waste these human resources.

Let’s innovate, reform our markets, BUILD NEW BUSINESSES and GROW NEW COMPETENCIES, which will even incentivise overseas corporations and foreign workers to relocate here.

Question :

What  NEW  BUSINESSES  ?  What   NEW  COMPETENCIES  ?
