Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

Now as I approach my 90th birthday ( 27 June 2023 ) , I invite you to visit my Digital Avatar ( www.hemenparekh.ai ) – and continue chatting with me , even when I am no more here physically

Sunday 19 April 2020

Thank You, Aarogya Setu Team

Thank You,  Aarogya Setu Team

At 11:23 am yesterday , I sent you following email requesting launch of Version 2.0 of Aarogya Setu App, incorporating “ among few other , E – Pass “ feature :

[  Aarogya Setu : Good Beginning / Long Way to Go   ]

At 06:07 pm , you replied :

-----------------------------

Dear Sir / Mam,

We appreciate your inputs.

Aarogya Setu has already helped identify individuals who have come in close proximity of persons who have tested positive for COVID-19 later on.

The inputs from the App are being shared with the concerned Government authorities, who then reaches out to these individuals and then undertake further testing and containment measures accordingly

The e-pass feature is currently under testing and it will be rolled out soon

As more people start using this App, the more effective it can be as tool in combating the COVID-19.

regards,

Aarogya Setu

======================================================================

Thank You and Congratulations !

A few years ago, such a prompt and positive response to a suggestion from an ordinary citizen, would have been unthinkable.

I wish you all success and look forward to the launch of E – pass

And, even as you continue to develop E-pass, you must be wondering :

“ So far , Aarogya Setu ( download / installation / entering one’s infection status ) is voluntary .

It is not mandatory to download . Even those 6 crore persons who have downloaded , may not install the E-pass feature when it gets launched.

How do we ensure that everyone with a mobile phone, not only downloads Aarogya Setu V 2.0, but also uses E-pass ?

Till a law makes it mandatory, how can we MOTIVATE people to install V 2.0 ?

How can we make downloading / installing of V 2.0,  IRRESTIBLE  ? “

Dear Team,

Corona Virus , besides being invisible, resembles the legendary demon brothers, AHI-RAVANA and MAHI-RAVANA

When Lord Rama’s arrow made wounds in the bodies of these demons, a hundred drops of blood fell on the ground

From each drop of blood , arose a duplicate / clone demon . 100 drops produced 100 new demons !

Corona Virus is the 21st Century version of those demons , where each infected person creates 100 infected persons ( within in a few days of spread from one to another )

There is no way we can win this WAR if it is left to the sweet will of 130 crore Indians to decide

While fighting a war, we cannot take a REFERENDUM  for,

“ To be or not to be ? / To install E-pass or not to install E-pass ?

There is just no time to seek a CONSENSUS or SELLING an idea .

It is time for TELLING the people :

Ek ka Vishwashghat - Subka Vinaash

I urge you to consider ALL of the following (make it YOUR BUSINESS without waiting for anyone to tell you ):

=======================================================================

#  Arogya Setu , on its own, will access / retrieve / sync with central database every hour and download
    Mobile Numbers of ALL those who tested positive and phones will start BEEPING on proximity to infected

#  Aarogya Setu to be pre-installed before phone leaves factory / dealer’s shop

#  Mobile Service Providers ( Reliance-Airtel – Vodafone ) to stop serving phones without E-pass installed

#  Tracking all phones using Indian GPS of NaVIC

====================================================================

#  Central Government ask all Mobile Service Providers [ MSPs ], to furnish location data ( GPS based ) of all
   of their customers , in order to develop “ HEAT  MAPS “

         [ source : Tech giants are finding creative ways to use our data to fight the coronavirus  ]

=======================================================================

#   Remotely identifying persons running high body temperature ( one of the first symptoms of Corona virus )
    using a drone

   [ source :

=======================================================================

#  To implement these suggestions, if required, get Google / Apple to modify their Operating Systems ( Android-
    IoS )

[ source :  Apple and Google Could Be Better at Tracking the Coronavirus Than a Government  ]

=======================================================================

#  E-pass to also serve as a MOBILE  ATTENDANCE  SYSTEM

   As currently envisaged, E-pass will grant online permission to people to leave their homes ( for specified reasons )
   for a few hours

  If suitably modified, it would enable people ( especially employed persons ) to “ mark their attendance “ upon
  reaching their place of work ( E-pass to be a PERMANENT FEATURE of our economy , in both, the Organized and
  the Un-organized sectors – including MSME )

 As recommended by me earlier, should the Governments ( Central + States ) decide to grant 25 % wage subsidy for the months of July-Aug-Sept ( 2nd quarter ), this modification of E-pass is a MUST

To know how E-pass should get modified to serve this purpose, read :

Ø   From BAD to MAD ……………………………………………….[ 01 June 2016 ]

Ø  MAD goes to Mandi ……………………………………………… [ 02 Jan 2020 ]

If all the employees of all the establishments in India were to start marking their attendance using modified E-pass of Aarogya Setu, then , over a period of a few months, following advantages will ensue as “ byproducts “  :

#   For employees , no need to file a separate annual Income Tax Return

#   Direct deposit of PF / TDS amounts into bank accounts of Govt Depts

#   Direct Benefit Transfer ( DBT ) to every Employer for Stipend Subsidy ,
     based on number of total trainees / apprentices employed

#   Total number of employees in India ( category / region / industry )

#   Employment Density ( Industry wise / Region wise / Skill wise etc )

#   Net Employment Growth Rate ( weekly - monthly / Industry-wise )

#   Co-relation with no of persons graduating at various levels

#   Data about those Unemployed ( " Graduating " less " Employed " )

#   Overtime Statistics ( Use / Abuse )

#   Work-hour Analysis ( Ave hours / week - month )

#   Wage / Salary Rates ( Rs per hour ) - Industry wise / Region wise

     ( of great interest to Foreign Investors looking to bring down
       manufacturing costs , by outsourcing to India / manufacturing in India )

#   Compliance with labour laws / tax laws / Apprentice Act etc

#   Job Market Forecasts through BIG DATA ANALYTIC ( region / industry )

#   Demographic  Profiles of employees  ( Rural to Urban migration )

#   Per Capita Income Growth for persons using MAD app  ( MOM / YOY )

#   Changing composition between Blue Collar and White Collar employees

======================================================================

Dear Shri Narendrabhai,

As the proverb goes : The Buck Stops on your Table

You have no one to pass on the decision in respect of modifying E-Pass as suggested above

Fortunately for our country, we have frontline soldiers of Aarogya Setu Team , who say :

 Karenge ya Marenge
