Headhunters : Do not Apply

Some 30 years ago , one of my Corporate Client retained my firm ( 3P Consultants ) to find a “ Director – Finance “

During the process of headhunting , I approached the General Manager – Finance of a thousand crore company ( - in those days , that was a huge business )

After 30 minutes of explaining my Client company’s business / personal background of the Owner chairman /  growth plans etc., I requested that potential candidate for his typed resume

He just opened his table drawer , pulled out his VISITING CARD , which carried his Name / Designation / Employer Name / Phone No  ( - in those days , one would carry several in wallet ) and told me :

“ Mr Parekh , give this to your client . To consider me for this position , here is ALL that he need to know about me “

I took the card and quietly walked out

But how things have changed !

In today’s news paper, I came across the following advt :
