Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

India: The World's Capability Hub

India: The World's Capability Hub

The Inevitable Rise of a Global Brain

The recent projection by ICRA that India will host over 2,500 Global Capability Centers (GCCs) by 2030 is a powerful headline, but to me, it signifies something far more profound. It marks the crystallization of a trend I have observed for decades: India's transformation from a service provider to the world's strategic brain trust. We are witnessing the consolidation of global corporate intelligence right here on our soil.

This large-scale movement brings to mind my own smaller, more personal experiments with knowledge and automation. The fundamental questions driving these massive GCCs are the same ones that have preoccupied me in my quest for a digital legacy. How do we centralize dispersed knowledge? How do we automate intelligence? How do we create a system that not only stores but also builds upon existing expertise?

A Microcosm of a Macro Trend

My ongoing work with my digital avatar is, in essence, an attempt to build a GCC of one. The dialogues I've had with my technical collaborator, Kishan Kokal, about creating a self-sustaining "PERPETUAL AI MACHINE" to continue my writing, or developing a 'crawler' to scan the web for topics I've written about (Reverse Engineering of Blogging), mirrors the objectives of these global centers. The goal is to create a resilient, intelligent, and autonomous system.

The core challenge I articulated earlier this year—how to make my life's work, my thousands of blogs, fully accessible and understandable to an AI (Next Step in Evolution of my Virtual Avatar)—is precisely the problem that these GCCs are being built to solve, albeit on an enterprise scale. They are the engines designed to ingest, process, and generate value from a company's global data and intellectual assets.

Seeing this prediction from ICRA feels like a validation. The future isn't just about remote work or cost savings; it's about centralizing high-value functions—R&D, advanced analytics, product innovation—in a place teeming with the intellectual capital to drive them forward. India has proven itself to be that place. The surge is on, and it's a testament to a future we have long been building.
