Highlights of recommendations made by the
Committee :

incurred by manufacturing companies in setting up charging stations for
electric vehicles (EV) across the country should be considered an activity
within the ambit of corporate social responsibility (CSR)

The committee’s report also
said that higher depreciation on electric vehicles is
required [ 50%,
against the current 15% , for a period of 5
years ]

deductions for investments in the electric mobility space.

lending for acquisition of electric vehicles,

Further
tightening of fuel efficiency norms
