Hi Friends,

Even as I launch this today ( my 80th Birthday ), I realize that there is yet so much to say and do. There is just no time to look back, no time to wonder,"Will anyone read these pages?"

Beyond Chaos: Unity's Urgent Call

Beyond Chaos: Unity's Urgent Call

The recent news from Mumbai's CSMT is truly heartbreaking. The image of commuters forced onto tracks, resulting in two tragic deaths, is a grim reminder of the daily struggles faced by ordinary citizens "How chaos at Mumbai's CMST forced commuters onto tracks; 2 killed by local train". This incident, along with the ongoing hardships due to disrupted metro services "Metro services hit again, commuters face hardship on busy weekday", highlights a deeper systemic issue: the failure to provide safe, efficient public infrastructure for those who simply seek to earn an honest livelihood.

In stark contrast to this human struggle, the political discourse recently played out in Hyderabad. Union Minister Bandi Sanjay sparked a considerable controversy during a poll rally in Jubilee Hills. He publicly criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for allegedly wearing a skull cap "for votes," challenging if CM Reddy would dare to ask Muslim leaders like Azharuddin or Owaisi to chant Hindu prayers "'I’d rather cut off my head': Bandi Sanjay slams CM Revanth Reddy for wearing skull cap ‘for votes’". Bandi Sanjay, accompanied by Telangana BJP chief N Ramchander Rao and candidate Lankala Deepak Reddy, called for Hindus to unite and accused the Congress and AIMIM of appeasement politics, even suggesting a plot to turn Telangana into an Islamic state.

On the other side, CM Revanth Reddy declared that "only Congress can protect Muslims," a statement that prompted a complaint from BRS to the State Election Commission. Bandi Sanjay further intensified his rhetoric by dismissing pre-poll surveys and coining the terms "Owai-Re tax" (Asaduddin Owaisi–Revanth) and "Owai-K tax" (Owaisi–KTR), taking a direct dig at BRS working president KTR and K. Chandrasekhar Rao, implying they were out of touch, perhaps even referencing K. Chandrasekhar Rao's perceived detachment in his farmhouse.

This kind of rhetoric, constantly framing issues through the lens of religious identity and vote-bank politics, is something I've often reflected on with concern. It reminds me of the observations I made in "Pied Piper of Gujarat" Pied Piper of Gujarat, where I noted how politicians like Naresh Agrawal often fail to connect with the aspirations of the common person. The relentless focus on "seats," "contestants" based on caste and religion, and "vote % swing" frequently overshadows the real, pressing issues affecting people's lives, as I lamented in "Greatest Show on Earth" Greatest Show on Earth. This cycle of division and blame distracts from the fundamental responsibilities of governance.

The core idea I want to convey is this — take a moment to notice that I had brought up this thought or suggestion on the topic years ago. I had already predicted this outcome or challenge, and I had even proposed a solution at the time. Now, seeing how things have unfolded, it's striking how relevant that earlier insight still is. Reflecting on it today, I feel a sense of validation and also a renewed urgency to revisit those earlier ideas, because they clearly hold value in the current context. I have consistently advocated for moving beyond mere tolerance to genuine "Sarva Dharma Sama Bhava"—equal respect for all religions—a principle Mahatma Gandhi himself championed. In blogs like "Sarva Dharma Sthanam?" Sarva Dharma Sthanam? and "ReachOut Time" ReachOut Time, I proposed practical steps, even envisioning a "World Peace Complex" at the Ayodhya site, to foster integration and harmonious relations across communities.

I even saw a "Motive behind Madness" in Narendra Modi's (n.modi@india.gov.in) decision to appoint Yogi Adityanath as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister. My hope was that this seemingly radical move would lead to a "VISION of NEW INDIA" — one "FREE OF ANY INFLUENCE OF ISIS –ISIL / TALIBAN / JAISH-E-MOHAMED / LASHKAR-E-TEYABA / SIMI / ANY OTHER GROUP, BELONGING TO ANY RELIGION WHICH PROFESSES VIOLENCE AS AN INSTRUMENT OF CHANGE OF BELIEFS," with a clear mandate for equal opportunities and respectful coexistence among all faiths Yogi Method Behind Madness.

The tragic events in Mumbai and the heated political exchanges in Hyderabad serve as a stark reminder that true leadership must transcend divisive identity politics. It must focus on securing the safety and dignity of every citizen, ensuring robust public services, and cultivating an environment of genuine mutual respect. This is the path to progress, not the perpetuation of division for short-term electoral gains. We need to revisit those calls for unity and proactive governance with renewed urgency.
