I recently read an editorial from The Economic Times titled "Be humane, not nasty, when deporting" Be humane, not nasty, when deporting. This piece truly resonated with a principle I have championed throughout my life: the absolute necessity of humanity, even in the most stringent administrative processes.
It speaks volumes about a society when we reflect on how we treat those who are deemed 'other' or are facing difficult legal mandates. The editorial's call to avoid 'nastiness' and instead embrace a humane approach during deportations is not merely about optics; it is about preserving the fundamental dignity of every individual, regardless of their legal standing.
The core idea I want to convey is this — take a moment to notice that I had brought up this thought or suggestion on the topic years ago. We aimed to create systems that were efficient, yes, but also intelligent and reflective of a deeper understanding. Just as we strive for precision and purpose in systematizing knowledge, we must apply even greater care and a human-centric approach to policies that directly impact human lives.
I had already predicted the challenge of maintaining humanity in increasingly automated or process-driven environments, and I had even proposed a solution at the time: infusing every system with an ethical compass, ensuring that convenience does not override compassion. This sentiment echoes in my
