Dear PM : People want to talk to You

Dear Modi Saheb :

For many years now , you have been broadcasting your “ Man Ki Baat “ , to 140 crore Indian citizen

Then, since a few weeks back , you have started posting your video-talks on Social Media and have been exhorting your Cabinet colleagues / BJP functionaries to do likewise

You have even asked your Ministers to visit a college , once a week and hold discourse with students

Emphasis has clearly shifted ,

> from giving talks at conferences / public rallies ,

> to sit across a small group of young persons , and

> Ask them their views on issues facing our country

> Tell them how Govt is addressing those issues

All this is very welcome – many would even say “ overdue “

But establishing a rapport with 140 crore citizen is not an easy task

Establishing rapport is a “ Two Way Street “ .

It must enable people to “ Ask “ you and enable you to “ Answer “ .

It cannot be a one way “ monologue “ . It has to be a one – to – one “ dialogue “ .

Talking individually, with each one of those 140 crore citizen . Nothing less !
